The hook-up potential of a naked campground is unsurprisingly influenced by when you go. Peak periods when the campgrounds are busiest – holiday weekends, summer heatwaves – will increase your hook-up options and give you a better chance at giving that air-mattress a solid workout. Choosing the right campground is also important. You’re looking for a naked campground that not only has decent facilities – such as powered sites, functioning showers, and clean toilets – but you also need a campground that has a bit of a reputation as being a sex-positive space that welcomes man-on-man action. Finding the sex positive-vibe isn’t necessarily as straightforward as you’d expect. For example, a lot of clothing-optional campgrounds are old-school naturists who like to keep a clear separation between getting naked and any suggestion of sex. Others may be more focused on being family-friendly and will possibly see single guys or a group of guys as being incompatible with the vibe that they're aiming for. ## Where can I go naked camping? Options for naked camping vary depending on where you are in the world - particularly if you're looking for men-only, homosocial spaces. ### NakedFest In the UK, NakedFest is the annual camping trip of the [NakedMates](https://nakedmates.com/login?ref=gtv.blue) organisation. It usually happens around mid to late July. ### The Gaythering If you're in the US, then there's a huge range of naked camping options, but the big gay event is the annual summer camp organised by GNI – [Gay Naturists International](https://www.gaynaturists.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=1&ref=gtv.blue). It's called The Gaythering and it's held at a camping ground in Pennsylvania. The camp is normally held in August each year. ### NakedMan Camp If you're in Australia then you'll probably want to check out [NakedMan Camp](https://nman.com.au/?ref=gtv.blue). This takes place each November, near-ish to Sydney.
