Dominic Ford: A fan of the Grabby Awards
We catch up with the founder of JustFor.Fans.

While we were at the Grabby Awards Europe in Torremolinos, we caught up with Dominic Ford - the founder of the JustFor.Fans fan-subscription platform.
JustFor.Fans is one of the sponsors of the Grabby Awards Europe event.
You're a long-term supporter of this event - why is this an event important for JustFor.Fans?
The Grabbys are important in general because they bring out the best of our community. Especially, this is I think the only European award show. There's several in the states. And so this really centralises all the European models.
In terms of JustFor.Fans specifically, we have a ton of European models and this is one of the many ways that we show our support to the community. Especially the European community, who we don't get to see a lot in the States.
This is a big event for us to remind the community that we are from the community, we're for the community, and we're the only fan-site, frankly, that is.
Fan sites really were a huge shift in the landscape of the adult entertainment industry. It must be continuing to evolve though? What are you seeing in terms of further evolution in the market?
There's definitely a lot of external issues right now politically around the world, certainly in the States. I think we see that pressure right now hitting our industry and hitting access to websites.
Specifically porn bans in specific states, which only seems to be gaining momentum. Does that concern you?
Everything in the States right now is imploding and I've never been more fearful for our industry, let alone my company.
Our industry and our community have always been scapegoats for the political, for the right wing. But typically that goes away once they're elected. We're good wedge issues to get people elected who are against us, but then once we're elected, there's bigger fish to fry. It doesn't seem like that's the case right now.
It seems like right now all these wedge issues are the issues that politicians can win at easily and they're going after us very, very vociferously.
I'm not feeling hopeless. I think we have a lot of work to do and I think we have a lot of people against us. So am I feeling hopeful? Not yet, but I'm not feeling hopeless yet.
