Food for gay men: Chocolate Brownies
Simple and tasty.
Brownies are a bit of a baking basic, but you can give them a bit of a twist by adding different fruits and nuts to make them interesting.
I made them recently for a naked co-working session and added some freeze-dried cherries into the mix which made them super-tasty.
Ingredients
- 175g butter
- 100g cocoa powder
- 3 eggs
- 125g caster sugar
- 125g soft light brown sugar
- 85g self-raising flour
Method
- Heat the oven to 150C Fan.
- Line a 20cm square brownie tin (or something that's about this size).
- Put the butter and cocoa in a saucepan over a low heat. Stir frequently until the butter has melted. Remove from the heat and leave to cool for 2 minutes.
- Whisk together the eggs and all the sugars.
- Pour in the butter mixture and stir to combine.
- Add the flour and mix thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared tin, bake for about 20 minutes but keep an eye on them - skewer test to ensure that you don't overcook.
- Leave to cool in the tin before cutting into squares.
