Grabbys Spotlight: John Jai
Targeting trophies in Torremolinos.
As we count down towards the Grabby Awards in Torremolinos, we caught up with John Jai to discuss his nominations.

Why is being nominated in the Grabby Awards important to you?
I am in love with the industry. I love performing, having sex, creating content, being behind a camera and sex positivity.
Being nominated shows that I’m being recognised for the work I’m creating and that the people out there are enjoying it as much as I do!
How did you discover and start to explore that performing on camera and content creation was something that you're passionate about?
From a young age, I’ve been putting on performances. From jumping out behind the curtains at Christmas with family members to studying performing arts throughout school and college.
After college, I started to really explore content-creation. Around a year ago, I made the decision to start working with studios.
Merging my two passions together has made my career so much more enjoyable.
Do you consider yourself to be an exhibitionist?
Absolutely! It gives me such a thrill knowing people are watching.
If you are keeping up with my life, you’ll know I’ve been documenting my time in the dunes - go check it out!
How has your work in the adult entertainment industry shaped your relationship with your body and the way that you experience intimacy?
This is hard to answer. Working in the adult industry has had a huge impact on my relationship with my body and how I experience intimacy.
Growing up, I was bullied for my weight and also received hate on social media. This definitely affected my mental outlook and made me quite self-critical. So, to relive that experience is difficult. I don’t think I’ll ever be 100 percent happy with my body, as that mental trauma can be hard to let go of.
On the other side, working in this industry has helped me accept myself a whole lot more! It’s pushed me to become more aware of my body - in a positive way. Over time, I’ve built a stronger character and sense of confidence. I’m a lot healthier now than from five years ago, both physically and mentally - that’s something I’m genuinely proud of.
It has really strengthened my understanding of boundaries. Separating my professional and personal life has made me more intentional about emotional availability and who I allow into my world. Just because I’m comfortable expressing myself physically in my work doesn’t mean I allow the same access in my private life.
In regard to intimacy, I’m very aware of performance and a genuine connection. It’s taught me to value authenticity more deeply. Real intimacy is less about physicality and more about trust, respect and emotional connection - the kind of things that can’t be replicated or performed. It’s very rare that I let people in to get to know the ‘real’ John. But, I guess that’s something that comes with being behind a camera.
Beyond the Grabby Awards, what else is on your vision-board for the months ahead?
My vision board is filled!
The Grabbys America is on the cards and the GayVNs.
I’m a huge believer in manifesting and really looking forward to what the future holds!
Also, passing my driving test - third time lucky?
