Grabbys Spotlight: Ray Mannix

As we count down towards the Grabby Awards in Torremolinos, we caught up with Ray Mannix.

Originally from the Czech Republic, Ray is nominated in four categories:

You’ve said that winning a Grabby Award would be validation of all the effort that you’ve put in to building a career in the adult entertainment industry — how did you discover and start to explore that performing on camera and content creation was something that you’re passionate about?

I first stepped into the industry around 2015, shooting studio scenes for a few studios like Staxus at the time. Back then, it was more curiosity than a long-term plan, I wanted to try it, and I enjoyed being in front of the camera.

After that, I took a long break - almost seven or eight years - and focused on life, travel, and other projects. Then, I reached a moment where I really asked myself: What do I actually enjoy? What kind of project feels truly mine?

I’ve always tried to live authentically and do what feels natural. I love travelling, creating, connecting with people, and experiencing life so I thought, why not come back to this, but on my own terms? I decided to try content-creation independently, without overthinking it, just being myself. That’s when it became something real for me: building my own brand, creating my own projects, and connecting directly with fans.

Winning at Grabby Awards would feel like recognition not just of the scenes, but of that decision to come back and fully own who I am.

Do you consider yourself an exhibitionist?

In a way, yes - but in a respectful, conscious way. I enjoy expressing myself and being seen, especially in clubs or on beaches, but it’s always about consent and energy.

I’m not someone who would do something explicit in front of people who didn’t choose to be part of it. For me, it’s about confidence, playfulness, and connection - never crossing other people’s boundaries. I like public moments when they’re shared experiences, not when they make others uncomfortable.

What was your relationship with your body like when you were growing up? Have you always been comfortable getting your clothes off in front of others?

Not at all. I had insecurities like many people. Confidence came later - through travel, sport, the gym, and life experience. When I started doing porn, I already knew I was attractive, and I’ve always trained hard and pushed my body physically.

Over the years, I realised something deeper - looking good isn’t just about going to the gym. If you want to feel young and confident, you need to be happy. You need to enjoy life, understand other people, travel, and experience the world.

I stopped judging my body and started appreciating it for what it allows me to do and I learned that real confidence comes from opening your heart, not just building muscles. That shift changed everything.

How has your work in the adult entertainment industry changed your relationship with your body and the way that you experience intimacy?

It taught me a lot about boundaries, communication, and being present. I’ve learned to separate physical intimacy from emotional intimacy, and to really value trust and honesty.

It also made me more aware of my own energy - when to give it, when to protect it, and how important genuine connection is.

What makes a good collab?

A great collab is built on respect and communication. Show up on time, keep your word, and respect the people and the work behind the scenes."

"I only collaborate with creators I genuinely vibe with - chemistry can’t be faked and when it’s real, the fans see it immediately.

Beyond the Grabby Awards, what else is on your vision board for the months ahead?

For me, it’s not just about awards or scenes - it’s about how you treat your fans and who you are as a human.

I’m building experiences around my brand - I created a calendar so fans can literally have me on their wall, I've released merch, and I offer things like meeting for coffee or even joining me on set. I don’t see this as ten minutes of content - I want to offer something more personal and memorable.

Last year, I travelled a lot - I’ve visited close to 90 countries so far in my life and now I’m finally starting to turn that into proper travel content. I’ve met thousands of people around the world, learned so much, and I’m excited to start sharing those stories.

I’ve also started DJing. I played my first gig recently and, over the coming months, I want to DJ more at private events and parties. Music is another way I express myself and connect with people - I’m excited to grow that side of myself alongside my content work.

The vision is creativity, travel, music, and connection - building a whole world around what I do, not just videos.
