Grabbys Spotlight: Zac Steele

As we count down towards this year's Grabby Awards, we caught up with Zac Steele.

Zac is one of the few performers who is nominated in both the US and the European editions of the Grabby Awards.

In the US awards, he's nominated in the categories of Hottest Twink and Best Duo. In the European awards, he's nominated in the category of Scene of the Year.

How did you discover and start to explore that performing on camera and content creation was something that you're passionate about?

I never really wanted to do this full-time. I had just turned 18 a few months prior and decided I was taking a year off of school. I was so stressed about going to higher education and I needed a break from life.

All over the dating apps, people kept asking me if I had a Twitter - I had no idea what they meant. I looked into it and honestly thought it wasn’t for me.

My mom then randomly saw me on my phone using Grindr and she made a joke about starting an OnlyFans if I’m “going to keep giving it out for free”.

I then decided then I’d at least try it.

Three months later, I was filming full-time and went to my first award show. That year, I started filming with a studio in Europe.

The rest is history, I guess!

Do you consider yourself to be an exhibitionist?

I don’t know honestly. I can’t tell if I like the attention or if having sex in front of others is something that sexually turns me on.

I love to please, so having people get off to me is really what gets me off.

What was your relationship with your body like when you were growing up?

I have always had horrible self-esteem .

I was the only gay man in my hometown. I grew up in the middle of nowhere in a town of almost one thousand people. None of the girls were into me becuase I was gay and none of the guys were either because they weren’t.

I really have only gotten confidence through content-creation and honestly that is the greatest thing to come from this job.

I wrestled for eight years and had to strip down into underwear to weigh in - I never wanted to do it. I was embarrassed with my body and afraid people would know I was gay.

Now, I don’t care and I’d be naked all the time if it was legal.

I still struggle a lot with confidence and I tend to be very self-critical. I don’t like my body and I don’t find myself attractive, but that’s because I am not really into twinks.

I’ve had to tell myself that my opinion on my looks isn’t accurate - I have to just trust the opinions of others.

How has your work in the adult entertainment industry changed your relationship with your body and the way that you experience intimacy?

Pretty much all of my sexual history has been during my adult entertainment career.

I had sex with two different people before I started. I've done a tonne of firsts on camera - my first time topping was in a studio scene.

This job gave me confidence in my own body as well as teaching me how to be good in bed, for sure.

Beyond the Grabby Awards, what else is on your vision-board for the months ahead?

There is a lot coming from Zac Steele. I’ve been filming a documentary - it's about me and a few other adult entertainers.

I've been focusing a lot on my studio work and my non-sexual entertainment career as well. I do stand-up comedy and I will be working a lot on that this summer. So, if you want to hear the funny stories behind the camera of a porn set, make sure to see me in Los Angeles and hopefully other cities too!
