New music: Shobsy - The world will not remember
A new EP from the Irish pop artist.
The latest release from Irish pop artist Shobsy is The World Will Not Remember.
The lead single from the EP is Perfect.
“At the time of writing it felt too close to the bone..." says Shobsy, reflecting on Perfect. "Over time friends have convinced me to release it. It's a warm goodbye to someone I've loved for a long time. It's a raising of a glass to them as life and paths shift.”
Documenting the last six months of Shobsy's life, the EP is deeply personal.
"The importance we feel as the protagonist in our lives, the loves, the losses, the successes and failures, all seem to eventually fade in a fast-moving world..." explains Shobsy. "They get quite rudely dashed out by the universe. It's an essential and natural process beyond us all. I want to use this reality as opportunity, as artistic license to make whatever, whenever, both safe and in awe at the fact that the world will not remember!"
