🪩 PLEASURE MEDICINECommunity • Connection • Conscious Dance for Gay, Bi, Queer and Trans Men“I’ve never felt so safe and seen fully as myself around other gay men. This has changed my life”“To be in a space with other gay men and feel relaxed, non-sexual and joyful is a game changer”A Radical New Way to Connect & Express YourselfPleasure Medicine is not your average gay event. It’s a connection workshop and conscious dance space where gay, bi, queer and trans men come together to reconnect with their innate joy, aliveness, radiance and desire to cultivate community. You walk into Pleasure Medicine and you feel instantly safe, at home and accepted. No need to try to fit in. Because you already belong. Here there is no judgment, comparison or pressure to perform. With us, you let the masks gently melt away and the walls come down.
And in their place there is warmth, laughter, fabulous music, embodied sober conscious dance, and a community of men who all want the same thing it… friendship, freedom and belonging. The Pleasure Medicine Journey🪷 Opening Circle
We begin together by grounding, breathing and setting the tone for openness, safety, respect and care. This is where we build the safety that allows real freedom to flourish. And you set your intentions. 🤝 The Pleasure Medicine Connection Workshop
What truly sets Pleasure Medicine apart from any other conscious dance is this: as gay men, we were never taught how to relax around other men. We walk into a room and our guard goes up. We scan the space, wondering who’s here? Am I enough? Do I fit in? We puff up our chests, uncross our legs, lower our voices. It’s exhausting. And it stops here.We open each Pleasure Medicine with an hour of playful, heart-opening connection practices. Games and exercises that melt social awkwardness and spark real, human connection. You’ll meet everyone in the room in ways that feel fun, deep, and natural. No need to perform or impress. You can finally exhale, drop the mask and just be yourself.💃 The Ecstatic Dance Journey
A 90-minute sober dance experience with a live DJ playing a wave of ambient, tribal, disco, soul and deep house. No choreography to learn. It’s you, your unique expression, the music and your new Pleasure Fam for the afternoon. All bodies, ages and backgrounds come to Pleasure Medicine. This is a space of love and inclusion for all GBTQ+ men. If you’re even thinking is this for me?, it’s a yes. 🌈 Closing Circle & Optional Community Hangout
We integrate, reflect and relax into gentle sharing (if you’re called) and conversation. For many men, this is where the the beginning of new friendships, chosen family and a deeper sense of belonging happens. There is a growing family and community at Pleasure Medicine and we can’t wait for you to come join us.Why It’s DifferentPleasure Medicine isn’t about sex, hooking up, body type or status. It’s about being seen, celebrated and set free from those chains that have held us back from the true joy, delight and connection we long for with other gay man. Each gathering is a movement, a ritual, a revolution. We are rewriting what it means to be gay men together. This Is For You If You’re…💫 Craving real connection and new friendships with like minded men
💫 Tired of apps, bars, clubs and surface-level encounters
💫 Wanting to feel relaxed, confident and joyful around other gay men
💫 Curious about conscious dance and embodied non-sexual pleasure
💫 Ready to reconnect with joy, fun and playfulness “I found a part of myself I thought I’d lost”“I wanted to leave after 2 minutes, I felt so awkward. But I’m so glad I stayed as it became one of the most powerful, transformative experiences of my life. I’ve been coming since Pleasure Medicine began.“Every time I go to Pleasure Medicine I leave I feeling more open and alive.”FAQI’m not a good dancer.
Perfect. This isn’t a dance class. There are no moves, no choreography, no judgement. You can sway in the corner or let loose in the centre. Everything is welcome. You do you. I feel too shy, too old, not cool enough.
We get it. And that’s exactly why this space exists. Our community is made up of men from their 20s to their 80s, every body type, every age and every background. You’re not too much or not enough here. You’re you and that’s perfect. What if I come alone?
Most men do. And by the end, you won’t feel alone for a second. The Connection Workshop makes sure of that. What if I don’t like the music?
Pleasure Medicine’s USP is that the music is so varied, with an emphasis on joyful disco music. The feedback is on how much everyone loves it. But if there are some tunes you don’t like, use it. Let it move you in unexpected ways. What is Pleasure Medicine?

Gary Albert is a therapist, coach, and embodiment facilitator. He's designed Pleasure Medicine with an intention to:

  • Respond to app fatigue and digital burnout by offering face-to-face
    connection without screens or profiles.
  • Provide alternatives to chemsex by creating natural, euphoric, embodied experiences without substance use.
  • Build authentic community by fostering relationships based on presence rather than performance.
  • Encourage body acceptance through movement without judgment or
    shame.
  • Remove the performative masks of masculinity that have become toxic in queer communication.

Gary Albert on How To Date Men

For our podcast, How To Date Men, we caught up with Gary Albert for a behind-the-scenes look at Pleasure Medicine.

In the conversation, we talk primal community, sensual versus sexual, and the power of dance.

Listen to the episode

"We're seeing unprecedented levels of disconnection in our community," explains Gary Albert. "The cycle of hookup apps, chemsex scenes, and superficial club dance floor interactions has left many gay men feeling profoundly isolated despite being constantly 'connected.' Pleasure Medicine is the community-level response I want to see in the world but can't find - a place for gay, queer, bi and trans men to
be together in joy, kindness, connection, intimacy and sensuality".
