R.U... Looking? Tickets - London - OutSavvy
R.U... Looking?Queer/Gay Mens Sober Singles night. Come and connect, chat, make friends, find love. Online dating is rubbish- lets try meeting people. R.U…Looking is back. We’re back at Bistrotheque in Bethnal Green- AND WE ARE MONTHYL. . The event is like other singles nights popping up, a bunch of guys in a bar (serving non-alcoholic drinks and nibbles) some music, optional light ice breakers, and good vibes- and a bit of twister for good measure. Are you sick of online dating apps? Are you over the endless messaging that leads nowhere? Ghosts and the general hopelessness. Enough. Try something new by taking a chance on the old way. Meeting people in person. With clubs, pubs and events often so geared around the consumption of alcohol “R.U... Looking?” is a new singles night (for queer/gay men) looking to create a space to meet like minded sober guys and people looking for connection love and everything in-between.Rhys “ I went to a sober singles night recently and had a great time. It was refreshing to be in a room full of single guys who had the cards on the table so to speak, for some reason I hadn’t thought about the fact that everyone would be drinking- this was fine but I wondered how it would look if there was a space like this for people who were sober. I also wanted to insert a bit more ice brakers and ways to help connection (that wasn’t a drink) So this is my attempt. I really want this to be a space about connection and maybe even finding love and everything inbetween. I also want to try and foster a genuinely kind and warm space- dating is an anxiety inducing thing so I’m asking guys to leave egos at the door, come in with openess and respect. Let’s communicate and remember we’re all just humans looking.”This is a Sober event for Sober people. We aren’t here to police peoples sobriety. Are you in the rooms? Are you “California sober” What does sober mean to you? We won’t tell you what to do but we ask that you come in understanding that this is and event for people who identify as “Sober” There will be stickers to help let others know info. xx This a Trans Inclusive event xxxx This event is accessible xx About the venue- We are holding R U Looking at in The Cockatoo, an event, performance space and bar downstairs at Bistrotheque in Bethnal Green. Queer Drama Club for Queer Migrants and Queer People of Colour Tickets - London - OutSavvy
Queer Drama Club for Queer Migrants and/or Queer People of Colour📅 Dates: Thursday 5th, 12th, 19th, & 26th February. Thursday 9th, 16th, 23rd, & 30th April. 🕡 Time: Doors 18:00, Workshop 18:30 - 20:30📍 Location: The Green House, 244-254 Cambridge Heath Rd, Cambridge Heath, London E2 9DA⚠️⚠️⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️⚠️⚠️Plans changed? Let us know or cancel your ticket. No-shows aren’t sexy and stop others from joining. Repeat no-shows won’t get future bookings.🎭 Are you the drama? Is the whole world a stage to you? Do you know the “Cerulean” monologue by heart? Then our brand new Queer Drama Club is for you. Across February and April, we’ll be running 8 workshops using a whole load of theatre techniques— like improvisation, movement, and voice work—to foster creativity and artistic expression in a safe and inclusive space for queer migrants and queer folks of colour. We’ll be led by Diego Agurto Beroiza, PhD researcher and Applied Theatre practitioner, and over the 8 sessions we’ll get to grips with scene work, dialogue, blocking, and dramaturgy in a relaxed and accessible environment where participants can explore identity, build confidence, and develop performance skills collectively. We’ll be releasing tickets for the April workshops in mid-March, but you can sign up for all the February workshops now. You can sign up to as many as you’d like, but please don’t hog the space if you can’t make it. Upcoming Workshops: 📅 February 5th: Telenovela Fever - Immerse yourself in the world of melodrama where every tear and every slap turn exaggeration into a way of life. Inspired by telenovelas, we’ll parody their overflowing plots to explore camp as a queer aesthetic strategy. 📅 February 12th: Mean Queens - Using real fragments from Mean Girls as stimulus, we’ll dissect and exaggerate the absurdity of teenage hierarchies. Expect cafeteria politics, burn books, and a queer twist on Regina George’s empire. 📅 February 19th: Pop Idols Unplugged - Behind every synchronised dance move lies a capitalist fantasy. We’ll parody pop stardom by creating fake bands too fabulous to fail, questioning gender performance and fame. 📅 February 26th: 10 Things I Hate About Normativity - Take hetero love tropes and flip them like a badly placed wig. We’ll rewrite rom-com scenes to expose the ridiculousness of compulsory heterosexuality and make space for queer desire. 📅 April 9th: Bodies In Revolt - Words are overrated. We’ll explore storytelling through bodies, sweat, and awkward intimacy, turning movement into a political and sensual act. 📅 April 16th: Reality Show Realness - Drag the concept of “realness” through the mud of camp excess. We’ll parody reality shows to reveal how authenticity is staged and commodified. 📅 April 23rd: Queering The Classics - Shakespeare, Chekhov and the gang are about to get a queer makeover. We’ll rethink theatre history by rewriting fragments with camp aesthetics and radical queer politics. 📅 April 30th: Talent Show Of Absurdity - Everyone’s a star, but what happens when your talent is completely useless? We’ll create absurd personas and stage a campy talent show that celebrates failure as fabulous. Come as you are and join us for some dynamic theatre workshops filled with warmth, inclusivity, and celebration of queer narratives. DEEPENING Tantric Connection - with Andy Tickets - London - OutSavvy
This workshop is available to those who have attended the foundational workshop Discovering Tantric Connection In DEEPENING, we explore a different theme in each session to awaken you more to your authentic gifts, power and nature. We will use breath, movement, sound, touch, massage and meditation to awaken potent lifeforce energies and expand them through the body to nourish, resource, heal and expand. As sensation, pleasure and vitality increases, our perception of what the body is capable of widens. We begin to access more of what’s available to us and as our inner resources emerge, we can stand in richer, fuller awareness of our selves and each other. Tantra brings us into relationship with others and we become each other’s mirrors, teachers, guides and gifts. When safe, relaxed and listened to, the heart opens and can truly know itself as boundless in its capacity for compassion, generosity, wisdom and love. ‘Our real journey in life is interior; it is a matter of growth, deepening, and of an ever greater surrender to the creative action of love and grace in our hearts.’ Thomas Merton Please note that nudity is involved in some of the workshop. This workshop is for you if:- You are curious about understanding more about Tantra- You want to feel deeply connected to your body- You are working on healing from negative experiences regarding your sexuality- You want to become more mindful and more present- You are looking to break out of patterns that no longer serve you- You want more intimacy- You are interested in working with energy - You are interested in better sex, with yourself and with others - You want to integrate sexuality with spiritualityPlease note that as a group, we commit to holding a safe, boundaried, inclusive and respectful space. You need to be able to sit and kneel in comfort. FAQs (frequently asked questions)– Are there showers available at the venue? No and so please come correct and clean to class– I am shy and uncomfortable about being naked in a group. We completely understand this and can assure you that we hold a safe, friendly, inclusive and body-positive space. Any initial nervousness, apprehension, shyness is normal and welcome and temporary and you will soon relax– Are trans men welcome? Yes this class is for anyone who identifies as a man – I’m afraid I’ll get an erection. It is normal if this happens and it is also normal if it does not. Either way, it is not an issue, we just allow the experience of the body without shame or judgement. – Do I need to bring a mat? There are spare mats but you might prefer to bring your own. Please also bring a towel and a bottle of water. – What is the cancellation policy? Kapow! A Comic Book Cabaret: X-Men Days of Future Drag Tickets - London - OutSavvy
The year is irrelevant, the timeline is incorrect, and the X-Men? They are having a cigarette…Welcome to Kapow. A Comic Book Cabaret: X-Men Days of Future Drag. Enter our world of Mutants, weirdos and icons. Join this league of extraordinary performers from across timelines, dimensions, and varying levels of taste as they unite against the evil far-right agenda in the dumbest way they know how: in a wig, 12 pounds of makeup and stupidity. Expect re-imaginings of your favourite X-Men, from telepathic temptresses, shape-shifting superstars and reality bending heroes. The Crimes and Punishments of a Sacred Heart Tickets - London - OutSavvy
It’s been a while…. . The world appears to be crumbling, and The Holy Virgin refuses to crumble with it. Join Virgin on an exploration of The Crimes and Punishments of a Sacred Heart- a kaleidoscopic journey through the flames of human atrocity, as witnessed by The Virgin herself, and how we can transform and heal this world through the innate compassion and resilience of our collective sacred hearts. She’ll also be looking like a slut and belting out some new pop bangers. Everything comes with a price- the powers that be want us to believe kindness and compassion are crimes worthy of punishments. So Virgin says- spank me daddy. Punish me for giving a damn. You can crucify my rights like you crucified my son- but you’ll never be able to crucify my Sacred Heart. . Creative writing aside- this is a new solo show, written and performed by recording artist and humanitarian Virgin X. She will be performing new songs from her upcoming music projects, and also debuting new stand up/spoken word pieces. This will be the debut of a show she intends on developing further and eventually taking on tour. However, organizing them comes with costs. If you’d like to support our work, please consider donating via this link. 💜 To make sure as many people as possible can attend, we ask that you cancel your ticket if you can no longer make it. Failing to show up without prior cancellation takes a spot from someone else and wastes resources, including food and venue costs. We track attendance, and individuals who miss three events without cancelling will be unable to register for our future events. Please be considerate and let us know if you can’t attend. 💜 To ensure a smooth and respectful experience for everyone, please arrive on time. Our events are not drop-in sessions, meaning attendees must arrive at the start time and stay for the duration. We allow a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals - after that, entry will not be permitted as it can be disruptive to the group. Additionally, the entrance is not monitored after the grace period, so there will be no one available to let latecomers in. The event hours are clearly stated in the description, so please plan accordingly. Thank you for understanding and helping us create a welcoming space for all. 💜 Alongside this, we appreciate it if you could respond to any communication by the given response deadline so we can make the necessary arrangements for the event. 💜 By signing up to this event, you agree to be added to The Love Tank’s mailing list. I walk into groups often filled with people who have a mono racial identity.. I’ve come to realise that mixedraceness is its own identity and I’m craving a space with other people who share this identity. Even my mixed race-ness will be different to the multitude of other mixed race experiences but I am want to connect with others who have the same or similar identities. This is my attempt to make a space for such connection. xx This event is open to anyone who identifies as mixed race xxxx This event is accessible xx This is a donation based cost for this event, please pay what you can and any money goes to cover the cost of the room/tea coffee and future events.
